Jacuzzi tub, bath tub or pool, Kai loves the water!  These boys needed to take a milk break after swimming up a storm!  We look forward to many more pool adventures with Santiago!

Saying Goodbye!

After having Grammy & Papa Moeller here for 4.5 months, it was difficult to see them leave.  Kirk and I agreed that this was the hardest goodbye, even though we've been doing it for so many years.  They'll be back for a month long visit in August, just in time for Kai's First birthday in September!!

Crib Shenanigans

Kaison is able to reach the top of his crib rails, so we decided it was time to lower the mattress.  There are 3 settings and he went from the highest setting to the one in the middle.  Apparently, we need to lower it again to the bottom setting because this is what we found him doing 2 minutes after we left his room so he could nap.

7 Months/ MS Legoland Walk

7 Month Milestones:
~Mommy & Daddy went on a weekend trip to Santa Barbara.  It was the first time Mommy was away from   Kai.  Grammy & Papa Moeller said he was an Angel!

~Kai can sit up on his own now and he is also crawling

~2nd tooth coming in

~By the end of the month, Kai is pulling himself up on furniture

~Kai spent the night at Grammy & Papa Cady's house this month too

We're hoping that more friends and family join us every year on this walk.  We always have alot of fun together and it's a great excuse to see everyone!  Walkers this year:

We needed to have a little bit of mommy and daddy alone time.  We felt like Kai was on such a predictable and great schedule that we were comfortable leaving him with Grammy and Papa Moeller for the weekend.  We are so thankful for them because it was fabulous having a weekend to ourselves, something we haven't had in 7 months!!

EASTER!!!

As tradition has it, we spent Easter in Orange County at Aunt Reenie and Uncle Jeff's house.  Kirk (and the rest of us) always looks forward to Uncle Jeff's FAMOUS SALMON!!  It's delicious!!  Aunt Reenie also makes a fantastic bunny cake that we love!

The cousin's (Melissa, Kirk, Jaclyn, Bobby, Jillian, Ryan and Michael) still participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. This is where we compete to find over 300 hidden eggs that are filled with candy and money.  There is also a money reward for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and sometimes 4th, 5th,6th and 7th place!!!!  I was thinking that since Kirk and I are parents now, we could get out of it this year......... NO WAY!!  But, Kai will be walking next year, so I think we'll be off the hook.
