OFF to IOWA~Kai's first plane ride

    We spent almost 2 weeks in Iowa visiting family.  We even got to go to the Hawkeye homecoming football game against Michigan State.  We spent 2 nights in Iowa City with Kirk's sister Melany and her husband, Andy.  Thank you Grammy & Papa for babysitiing.  It was great getting together with family who came in from Chicago, Rock Rapids, and Cincinnati just to see us!  Kai had a blast going through the corn field maze, playing on the tractors, fishing on Grammy & Papa's lake, boating and sitting by the bonfire.  I think the highlight was riding on the lawn mower with Papa!
    Thank you to all of our family for making this trip so memorable!

Little Wedding in Maine

This was my first real trip away from Kai.  Luckily, my in laws were here from Iowa.  They were able to help with Kai while Kirk worked.  Kirk got to spend alot of one-on-one time with Kai.  They went out for pizza, soaked up the sun at the beach, and even went to a friend's house to swim.
