4th of July!

10 months!!
~Kai has 4 teeth on top and 2 teeth on the bottom
~I started weaning Kai off breastmilk
~Running about 5 miles in the jogger stroller and still doing Stroller Strides 3x a week
~Drinking from a straw
~Took his first step by the end of the month

Grammy and Papa Cady babysat Kai overnight so we could attend a 4th of July party with friends during the day near the beach.  We ended the evening at our neighborhood park watching fireworks.  We have such an amazing view and we do this every year.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Kai's first trip to the park!  He absolutely loves animals.  He shows no fear, just pure fascination.  We bought an annual pass for our family, so we will have many more trips in our future.

Seal Beach

Mommy had a night away with her girlfriends; Kelly and Alisha!  We had a blast hanging with some of our old friends from Orange County.

The Camp Pendleton World Famous 10K Mud Run

This was my first time participating in a run since having Kaison.  I had a blast competing in this with about 15 of my Stroller Stride friends!  Our team name was Dirty Mamas, which was very appropriate considering the amount of mud we were covered in!

Father's Day

9 Month Milestones:

~Loves watermelon

~Started to "cackle"

~Very mobile and loves crawling over things and people

~Daddy installed a gate at the top of the stairs

~Started to play with Lilly's food dishes

~Still going to Stroller Strides with Mommy at least 3x a week

June 15th: Papa Cady's Birthday: We celebrated Papa Cady's birthday and Father's Day with Family and Friends.

June 16th: We celebrated Father's Day and BBQ'd with friends

4 Year Wedding Anniversary

We kept it really simple this year.  We enjoyed a quiet dinner during the week at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Mother's Day~8 Months

~Kai discovered ants while helping daddy in the yard
~2 teeth
~Easily pulls himself up to stand
~About 18.5 pounds
~Climbs 3 stairs alone, by the end of the month he can climb all of them
~Takes 2 naps now instead of 3
~Daddy goes on a surf trip to Oaxaca, Mexico

First Mother's Day

Kirk hurt his arm surfing, so I forced him to cancel the surprise he had for me so he could go to the Dr.'s before he left for his surf trip.  All 3 of us went together to the Doctor's office while he got X-Rays.  We spent the rest of the afternoon having a nice lunch out and then coming home and celebrating while Kai napped.
